Grange growth summit scheduled

State Grange Membership Director Rusty Hunt will present a Grange Growth Summit, hosted by the Washington and Oregon State Granges, at Fern Prairie Grange in Clark County March 16-18.
The weekend will be filled with practical hands-on training on how to revitalize old Granges and start new Granges by using teams. The hours are 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday.
There is a registration fee of $25 per person. For your fee you get all the materials and lunch and dinner on Saturday. The tentative summit schedule is as follows:
Friday: 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Introduction of participants, “Choose Your Altitude” workshop, fun team building activity.
Saturday: 8 a.m.-9 a.m. Workshop, “Revitalization with Teams.”
9 a.m.-11 a.m. Split into teams. Teams choose leader, assign jobs. Scouting reports of Granges. Teams determine program. Team leaders share programs with the group.
11 a.m.-Noon. Teams travel to Granges.
Noon-1 p.m. Teams eat potluck with Grange.
1 p.m.-3 p.m. Teams implement program.
3 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Teams travel back to meeting room.
4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Teams report to group.
5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. Dinner.
7 p.m.-9 p.m. Workshop, “Creating Grange Growth.” Fun Team Building Activity.
Sunday: 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Future plans for visiting states. Priorities (revitalization/organization).
