NOTE FROM THE JUNIOR GRANGE DIRECTOR, CAROL EVANS

Junior Grange is a great organization for kids age 5-14. We play, we work, we hold meetings, we go to camp, and we meet kids from across the state and nation. We earn recognition and win great awards for the accomplishments we make and for the contests we enter.

Juniors have writing, drawing, signing, talent, and craft contests as well as the ability to enter crafts, photography, art, needlework, sewing, baking, and signing contests in the Lecturer's, Family Living and Health, Hearing

and Safety departments Washington State has 6 Junior Grange Camps throughout the state in the summer from late June to early August. A week of planned activities can be found somewhere near you. Check out the Washington State Grange web-site for details. Grange affiliation is not required for camp attendance.

The National Grange theme for Juniors is "I make a difference". In October National theme changes to "Plant a Seed and Watch us Grow". Check out their web-site www.nationaljuniorgrange.org for more details.
THANK GOD FOR KIDS!!

We also have available to FIRST TIME CAMPERS the Richard Kimball Memorial campship. It's for juniors that might not be able to experience camp without help.

Many Subordinate Granges sponsor a Junior Grange. Children ages 5 through 14 are eligible to belong to the Junior Grange whether or not they come from a Grange family.

Junior members conduct their own meetings, have their own ritualistic work and through this experience they learn leadership, initiative and good citizenship skills.

The Washington State Grange annually sponsors several summer camping sessions for junior Grangers and other interested children and youth.

Junior Grange programs are under the direction of State Junior Program Director Carol Evans.
